Md. Rezaul Haque Shakil, Brahmanpara:
Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, said, "The law and order situation has deteriorated overall. We are trying to normalize law and order from a civil post. We are working on preventing mass panic from spreading in public life. We stand in solidarity with the movement that took place at Dhaka University last night demanding the resignation of the Home Affairs Advisor."
He made these remarks to reporters at the Milad and Farewell ceremony of the 2025 Dakhil examinees of Nagaish Faizia Razzakia Islamia Dakhil Madrasa under Brahmanpara Upazila of Comilla on Monday (February 24) afternoon.

In response to journalists' questions, Hasnat Abdullah further said, "There has been a general change in the country. People have been under fascist rule for more than a decade and a half. People are mentally traumatized in all aspects. Are we aware of these issues? At the same time, we are aware of the deterioration of law and order. Robbery in society has increased. The incident that happened in Banasree yesterday was unexpected. The tendency to blame it, which is called pillaging, has not been done politically. We will call on us to come out of this place and identify the robbers as robbers and take action against them."
Regarding the opposing positions of the BNP and the government on the election issue, he said, "When the national elections are held early, we have seen that the members of the National Assembly have a tendency to exert influence in the local government. They try to dominate the issues of Upazila Chairman, Union Parishad Chairman through their relatives and brothers. We are talking about free fair participatory elections. From that point of view, our past experience does not have many happy memories. We have seen that those who are members of the National Assembly have an unexpected sphere of influence in the local government system. To overcome that influence, the local government elections should be held early to conduct field observation to see whether the interim government has achieved the capacity to hold elections at the national level."
On the question of the division of students and the public, Hasnat Abdullah said, the issue of division among students, the issue of propaganda was against us even before August 5. We stopped the movement after taking money, we fled the country on August 4, we fled in coordination. This issue of allegations continues. It was there before, it will be there in the future. We are not taking these into account. Rather, we are attaching the greatest importance to the solidarity of the nation. We are attaching importance to national unity. We believe that the daydream of the rehabilitation of the fugitive Hasina will never be realized, as long as national unity and solidarity are maintained.
Pir Maulana Mushtaq Faizi of Nagaish Darbar Sharif presided over the Milad and farewell ceremony of the 2025 Dakhil candidates of Nagaish Faizia Razzakia Islamia Dakhil Madrasa. Madrasa President Professor Rafiqul Islam Faizi, Principal of Shashidal Alhaj Abu Taher College Mohammad Abul Hossain Samran and others were present at the time.
