A new political party of the youth is going to be launched under the leadership of former advisor to the interim government Nahid Islam and member secretary of the National Citizens Committee Akhtar Hossain. The new party will be called 'Bangladesh Citizens Party'.
On the occasion of the debut ceremony of this new party, the main organizer of the anti-discrimination student movement, Abdul Hannan Masud, has extended an invitation to the interim government's chief advisor, Dr. Yunus.
On Thursday (27th of March) night, Dr. Abdul Hannan Masud posted a picture with Yunus on his Facebook ID.
In the caption, he wrote, "I gave out invitations to the launch ceremony of the new political party after 24, and I took prayers." A heart emoji has been added at the end of the caption.
Meanwhile, the youth group 'Bangladesh Citizens Party', which led the mass uprising, will officially launch its first event at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital tomorrow, Friday, at 3 pm.
