Sadrul Ain:
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has alleged that an attempt is being made to create a smokescreen for the elections.
He made this statement while virtually joining the party's extended meeting at the LD Hall premises of the National Parliament Building after 10 am on Thursday (February 27).
At that time, Tarique Rahman said, "There is an attempt to confuse the situation in the country by talking about local elections before national nirvana. Local elections before national elections are a process of rehabilitating Sheikh Hasina's fascism. However, BNP cannot and will not fall into this trap."
At this time, the acting chairman of BNP called on the countrymen to be vigilant about conspiracies against the country.
He said, "Freedom-loving people are being misled by the misleading statements of some advisors. On the other hand, murders and corruption are going on in the country, the government is unable to establish control over the law and order situation. They are also failing to control the unbridled rise in commodity prices."
