Dr. Mohammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, said that the student and worker masses of this country provided an opportunity to build a new Bangladesh through the mass uprising in July-August. Now this country must be made useful for future generations, and everyone must be vigilant so that no dictatorship is repeated.
He said this in a video message at the inauguration of the 7th National Community Development Camp (Comdeca) on Thursday (February 20) afternoon.

Reminiscing about the life of a scout, the chief advisor further said that the participants of the 7th Comdeca will be engaged in various public welfare activities including ensuring public health and sanitation for the welfare of the local people in line with reality. He also urged to further increase the participation of women in scouting. He expressed his conviction that the Bangladesh government will always stand by the scouts in carrying out public welfare programs.
Present at the inaugural ceremony were M. Siraj Uddin Mia, Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government and President of the 7th National COMDECA Organizing Committee, Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, Member Secretary of Bangladesh Scouts Ad Hoc Committee and COMDECA Chief, Dr. K. M. Kabirul Islam, Member and Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Board, Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Police Superintendent Md. Faruk Hossain, etc.
COMDECA activities began yesterday with the presence and registration of 398 Rover Scout team members, Rover Leaders and volunteers at the Scout Training Center-2 in Hard Point, Sirajganj. It will conclude on Tuesday, February 25th.
To make this year's Comdeka attractive, educational, diverse and challenging activities have been organized under the names of 'Services, Performances and Ladder of Memory'.
