On Wednesday (February 26), students of private universities protested at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen before the announcement of a new student organization. During this, a scuffle broke out between the two sides.
Abdul Quader, convener of the Dhaka University committee of the 'Bangladesh Democratic Students' Union', has expressed regret and apologized for the incident of clashes between the two sides. He made the announcement in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday night.
In a Facebook post, he wrote, "The healthy atmosphere of the campus has been disrupted. I am ashamed and apologize for today's unfortunate incident."
Former coordinator Abu Baker Majumder has been appointed as the convener of the central committee of the new organization of the anti-discrimination student movement, while Zahid Ahsan has been appointed as the member secretary. Touhid Mohammad Siam has been appointed as the senior joint convener.
