Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, has arrived in Dubai to attend the World Government Summit.
He arrived in the country at 11:15 pm Dubai local time on Wednesday (February 12).
The Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed this information. The Chief Advisor was welcomed by UAE Sports Minister Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi.
Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi thanked the Chief Advisor for his participation in the World Government Summit and briefed him on the internationally renowned summit held annually in Dubai over the past decade. They also discussed mutual interests, including potential cooperation between the two countries in the fields of sports and culture.
Foreign Affairs Advisor Towhid Hossain, Bangladesh Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Tarek Ahmed, and UAE Ambassador to Dhaka Abdullah Ali Khasef Al Hamoudi were present at the meeting.
Earlier, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus left Dhaka for the Emirates at 7:45 pm on a two-day visit.
On January 13, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, sent an invitation to the Chief Advisor to attend the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai. In response, the Chief Advisor agreed to attend the summit.
