Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, "A passport is a right of my citizenship. Whether I am a thief or a robber will be judged separately by the police. The birth certificate that was given to me was not done with any police verification. The NID that was given to me was also not done with any police verification, I got it as a citizen. So, police verification is not required for a passport."
He made these remarks at the opening ceremony of the three-day DC conference at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Advisor's Office on Sunday morning.
Dr. Yunus said, we have made the law. But it has not reached the villages. Yet we are sitting here with a decision. This distance should not exist. There is no reason for this, people are being harassed for no reason. Harassment is our religion. The government means harassing people, this must be reversed. The government is a different thing. Our job is to deliver your rights.
