I am warning you, you will say later that I did not warn you, I am warning you, if you cannot forget your differences and work together, if you throw mud at each other, if you fight and bicker, the independence and sovereignty of this country and nation will be endangered.
Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman made the remarks at a special event on the 2009 Peelkhana massacre held at the Rawa Convention Hall in the capital on Tuesday. He also called for assistance from the army.
He said, "Those who have done this, if they have committed a crime, will be punished. They must be punished. Otherwise, this thing will happen again. We want to stop it forever. But before that, we have to remember that we will do the work in such a way that all these organizations are not undermined."
The army chief said, "I am warning you, you will say later that I did not warn you, I am warning you, if you cannot forget your differences and work together, if you throw mud at each other, if you fight and bicker, the independence and sovereignty of this country and nation will be endangered."
I told you today, otherwise you will say that I did not warn you. I am warning you. I have no other desire, my only desire is to leave the country and the nation in a beautiful place. I had enough last seven-eight months, I had enough. I want to leave the country and the nation in a beautiful place and return to the military base.
Army Chief Waqar-uz-Zaman said, 'Another important thing that I thought I would share with you is that there are some reasons behind the deteriorating law and order situation in the country. The first reason is that we ourselves are busy in conflict, busy in angering each other.
This is a great opportunity for criminals. Since we are in an anarchic situation, they (criminals) know very well that if all these crimes can be committed at this time, then it is not possible to get away with it. That is why these crimes are happening, if we are organized, united, then of course it will be possible to deal with it collectively.
