Disabled youth Rubel Mia kidnapped and tortured from book fair in Baraigram, Natore
A disabled youth named Rubel Mia has been abducted and tortured from the Rajapur Book Fair in Natore's Baraigram Upazila. On the evening of February 26, a gang of teenagers led by their leader Munna abducted Rubel from the fair over a trivial incident.
Torture incident: After the kidnapping, Rubel was taken to the Muladuli food warehouse in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district. There, he was beaten and the vein in his right leg was cut. Then, Rubel's right eye was gouged out. When Rubel's condition became critical due to this severe torture, locals rescued him and admitted him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Police operation: Police have arrested Munna, the leader of a teenage gang, in a raid in connection with the kidnapping and torture of Rubel Mia, a disabled youth, from a book fair held in Baraigram, Natore.
