A new political party, the National Citizens Party (NCP), is set to launch on Friday (February 28) at a massive rally in front of the Parliament building on Manik Mia Avenue. It was formed by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee.
Advisors to the interim government, including Dr. Muhammad Yunus, have been invited to the event. At the same time, BNP, Jamaat, and almost all political parties supporting the mass uprising have also been invited.
NCP leaders went to Jamuna on the evening of February 27 and handed over the invitation to the Prime Minister. 36 political parties have been invited to the event, but the partners of 14 parties have not been invited.
In this regard, Abdul Hannan Masud said that the debut ceremony of the new political party indicates a major change in the political arena.
It is noteworthy that ambassadors, high commissioners, and diplomats from 51 countries have also been invited.
