The UN has called for an international initiative to bring back Awami League leaders including Sheikh Hasina who have fled to India and has also offered assistance in filing cases against Awami League leaders including Sheikh Hasina at the International Criminal Court. The question therefore arises strongly, are the days of Awami League coming to an end?
The UN report has internationally identified the Awami League as the party that carried out the massacre and has created a negative image of the party in the international arena. This will cause the Awami League to lose its acceptance as a political party worldwide.
