A dispute has arisen in front of Madhur Canteen over the debut of a new student organization of the anti-discrimination student movement, made up of ordinary students who led the July mass uprising from the movement.
On Wednesday (February 26), ordinary students of private universities came to Madhu with a procession just before the debut of the new student organization.
Although the new organization was supposed to debut at a press conference on Wednesday at 3 pm, the press conference could not begin even two hours after the scheduled time due to jostling and protests.
Later, around 5:15 p.m., Abu Baker Majumder, one of the students who led the July Movement, announced the name of the new party. Even then, some angry youth were seen chanting slogans.
The new student organization has been named 'Democratic Students' Union'. Students from private universities protested at the inauguration ceremony, claiming that they were deprived of their positions. They were seen shouting various slogans. At this time, excited students were seen pushing and shoving each other.
The convener of the new student organization is Abu Baker Majumder. The member secretary is Zahid Ahsan. The main organizer is Tahmid Al Mudassir and the spokesperson is Ashrefah Khatun.
Abdul Quader and Mahir Alam were announced as the convener of the party's Dhaka University branch and member secretary, respectively.
The organization's motto has been set as 'Students First, Bangladesh First'.
It was announced at the press conference that its organizational structure will have no connection with the anti-discrimination student organization. It will not even have any connection with the new political party that is being formed.

They said that Hasina would not have fled if the students of private universities were not involved in the mass protests. The students of private universities have been protesting since the 17th.
They said that Rifat Rashid was only kept as a co-coordinator in the anti-discrimination student movement. When the announcement of forming a new student organization came, he was also deprived. No new student organization will be allowed to be formed without Rifat Rashid.
