Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the interim government's chief advisor, posted a status on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (February 25) regarding the matter.
He wrote in a Facebook status, "Nahid Islam is one of the sharpest political minds in the country's recent history. He is only 26 and has already led a popular uprising against a brutal dictator. He will be a major feature in the country's politics for decades to come."
He further wrote, "And God knows, one day he may become the Prime Minister of that country."
It is worth noting that the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will announce a new party on February 28, said Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens Committee. Nahid Islam may be seen as the convener of this new party.
