The new political party of the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will be launched tomorrow, Friday (February 28). The party will be announced at 3 pm on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.
Preparations are underway around the announcement of the new party. A tour of the grounds shows that construction work on the stage including barricades has been going on at Manik Mia Avenue since this morning. Work is also underway to construct washrooms and various booths. It is also reported that the work will start in full swing from the evening.
Meanwhile, other coordinators including Chief Advisor Baker Majumdar have extended an invitation to the launch of the new party. Sharing a picture of him on his profile, Abdul Hannan Masud wrote, "I have extended an invitation to the launch of the new political party after 24 hours, and I have received prayers."
The launch ceremony of the new political party will be attended by family members of those injured and killed in the July Movement. Leaders of various political parties will also be present. Diplomats from various countries are also expected to attend.
