The new political party, initiated by the anti-discrimination student movement and the National Citizens' Committee, is called 'NCP'. This new youth-based political party is based on the idea of 'Nationalist Congress Party'.
If everything goes well, the group will make its debut at 3 pm today on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.
Meanwhile, the National Citizens Committee has completed all preparations for the party's debut. The target is to gather about 3 lakh people. Multiple committees have been formed to successfully complete the event. Volunteers from the National Citizens Committee and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement will be responsible.
The leadership of this new political party and who will be in important positions has already been decided. However, there have been disagreements among the leaders and activists of the civic committee for some time.
Sources in the National Citizens' Committee said that the names of Nahid Islam and Akhtar Hossain have been finalized for the post of convener and member secretary of this new youth-based political party, respectively. In addition, the names of senior joint conveners Samantha Sharmin, Ariful Islam Adib, senior joint member secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara, chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, joint chief coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud, Hasnat Abdullah as the chief organizer of the southern region, Sarjis Alam as the chief organizer of the northern region, and Saleh Uddin Sifat as the office secretary have been finalized.
A total of 151 people will be announced as the convening committee of this new political party. Later, the size of the committee will be increased in stages.
On Thursday midnight, National Citizens Committee convener Nasiruddin Patwari, who visited the political party's headquarters, said, "We will announce the political party together in front of the historic parliament. For this, we have selected the historic parliament because the youth are going to add something new to the democratic system of Bangladesh. Soldiers injured in the mass uprising and various individuals from the society will participate in the program. We are in communication with the DMP so that the people of Dhaka do not suffer. There will be a fire service here and there will be enough CCTV cameras for security. We have invited all the parties, we hope they will all come."
