The Kamalganj Upazila administration has honored Subhashis Sinha, the director of the Kamalganj Manipuri Lalit Kala Academy in Moulvibazar, for receiving the Bangla Academy Award in recognition of his special contribution to drama and dramatic literature. On Friday (February 21), after the morning procession at 9 am, Kamalganj Upazila Executive Officer Makhon Chandra Sutradhar formally presented the commemorative plaque to Subhashis Sinha at a discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony organized by the upazila administration on the occasion of the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day on February 21.

Expressing his feelings at the time, Subhasish Sinha said, "This award of mine will be an inspiration to all those who practice drama and literature outside the capital."
Kamalganj Upazila Project Implementation Officer Plaban Pal moderated the discussion and award ceremony, and among others, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) spoke.
DM Sadiq Al Shafin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Jayanta Kumar Roy, Kamalganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Shamim Akhanji, Upazila Jamaat Islam Ameer Md. Masuk Mia, writer and researcher Ahmed Siraj, Press Club Convener M A Wahid Rulu, etc. Later, the guests handed over the prizes to the winners of various competitions. At this time, officials of various government departments, school and college teachers, students, journalists and various prominent leaders of the press were present.
In addition, a discussion, award distribution and cultural program were held at 4 pm to celebrate the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, organized by the Manipuri Lalit Kala Academy.
The discussion was chaired by Prabhash Chandra Singh, Deputy Director (Retd) of Manipuri Lalit Kala Academy, and the chief guest was Md. Fazlur Rahman, Principal of Kamalganj Government Gana Maha Vidyalaya. The program, moderated by Sutapa Sinha, music instructor of the academy, was attended by special guests including Pulak Kanti Dhar, convener of Biswa Kabi Mancha, Dr. Sharadindu Sinha, General Secretary of Manipuri Samaj Kalyan Samity, Shivanand Sinha, President of Manipuri Jubo Kalyan Samity, Md. Nurul Islam, Principal of Moulvibazar Nursing Institute, Laxman Munda, General Secretary of Munda Samaj Kalyan Parishad, etc.
At the end of the discussion, a musical performance was performed with the participation of artists from the Manipuri Lalit Kala Academy and guest artists.
