The party also held a protest march and rally in Jhalakathi demanding the release of former Jamaat Secretary General ATM Azharul Islam. The march began after a protest rally in front of the city's Press Club on Tuesday afternoon. Led by District Jamaat Ameer Adv. Hafizur Rahman, the procession circled various important roads in the city.
The pre-procession rally was addressed by District Ameer Adv. Hafizur Rahman, Nayeb Ameer Adv. BM Aminul Islam, Secretary Principal Faridul Haque, Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdul Hai, Jamaat leader Sheikh Neyamul Karim, Professor Dr. Mao. Hemayet Uddin, District Working Committee Member Maulana Abu Bakr Siddique, Municipal Ameer Maulana Moniruzzaman, Sadar Upazila Ameer Maulana Moniruzzaman Talukder, District President of Chhatra Shibir M. Sayem, Secretary of District Workers Welfare Federation Mao. Nazmul Hasan. A large number of people were present at the rally and procession.
