After a long 18 years, a public workers' conference was held at the initiative of Jamaat-e-Islami in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati.

District Nayebe Amir Maulana Muhammad Jahangir Alam, Rangamati District Secretary Md. Mansurul Haque, Rangamati District President of Islami Chhtra Shibir Shahidul Islam Shafi. Upazila Jamaat Nayebe Amir Lokman Hossain delivered the welcome speech. Also speaking were Chandraghona Chhtra Shibir branch president Shahadat Hossain, North President Israfil Hossain Saikat, Jamaat leaders Amir Hossain, Md. Abu Taher, Shafiqul Alam, Chandraghona Mission Baptist Church General Secretary Bijoy Marma, and Kaderi High School Headmaster Joysim Barua.
The speakers said, for the development of Bangladesh, not the majority, not the minority, but everyone must be united. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami wants the law of Allah and the rule of honest people. The previous A'League fascist government, demanding the lives of the people to maintain its power, failed to hold fair elections, voting during the day at night. We want fair elections that are acceptable to all, so we are calling on everyone to vote for the candidate nominated by Jamaat-e-Islami.
