Some leaders and activists of the Jubo League in Satkhira district held a torchlight procession in the city. In the procession, they demanded the resignation of the interim government's chief advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The torchlight procession took place on the Bakchara intersection bypass road in Satkhira Sadar on Sunday (February 16) evening.
District Jubo League convener Mizanur Rahman led the procession. District Jubo League joint convener Tanvir Hussain Sujan, municipal Jubo League leader Yusuf Sultan Milon, Asashunir Shamsul Alam, Murshid, Nahid and several other leaders and activists also participated.
At that time, Jubo League leaders demanded the immediate resignation of Dr. Yunus and announced to continue their movement. Meanwhile, when the news of the Jubo League torch procession spread, district Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir leaders and workers held protest marches at various places in Satkhira city.
