A huge public meeting organized by the newly formed convening committee of Chittagong South District BNP was held today at the Anwara High School ground in Anwara Upazila of Chittagong to demand the rise in prices of essential commodities, deterioration of law and order situation, announcement of a roadmap for early elections, and confronting the conspiracy of fascism.
Under the chairmanship of the newly formed committee convener of the Chittagong South District BNP, Janneta Alhaj Idris Mia, and moderated by the newly formed committee member secretary of the Chittagong South District BNP, Janneta Lion Helal Uddin, the huge public meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the National Executive Committee of the BNP, Janneta Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan, as the chief guest, the main speaker was the BNP's Chittagong Divisional Organizing Secretary Janneta Mahbul Alam Shamim, the BNP's Deputy Organizing Secretary Janneta Barrister Mir Muhammad Helal Uddin, the newly formed Chittagong South District BNP's Senior Joint Convener Ali Abbas, the joint convener Miskatul Islam Chowdhury Bappa, and the former General Secretary of the Chittagong South District BNP, Janneta Alhaj Gazi Muhammad Shahjahan Jewel (former MP).
Among others, former joint secretary of Chittagong South District BNP, Janneta Alhaj Rezaul Karim Nesar, former joint secretary of BNP, Badrul Khair Chowdhury, former chairman of Chittagong South District Sramik Dal, Alhaj Shafiqul Islam, and Patia Upazila Chhatra Dal president Jahangir Alam Chowdhury spoke.
South District BNP leader Alhaj Shahidul Islam Sajjat, Chittagong South District Volunteer Party President Jamir Uddin Manik, influential leader of Chittagong South District Chhatra Dal Md. Tarique Rahman, Chittagong South District Chhatra Dal convener Rabiul Hossain Robi, and senior leaders of Chittagong South District BNP's Jubo Dal Chhatra Dal unit and associate organizations were present.
