A protest march and street meeting were held in Puthia, Rajshahi, in protest of the month-long programs of the Awami League and Chhatra League.
On Monday afternoon, a protest procession was taken out from Biraldaha Bazar of the upazila at the initiative of Mithun Mollah, the persecuted leader of Baneshwar Union BNP. Later, the procession ended at Baneshwar Bazar. In a brief speech there, the leaders said that if Awami terrorists try to do any misdeeds in Puthia in the future, they will be given a befitting reply. At the same time, if the escaped leader creates anarchy, they will not be allowed to go on any sabbatical.
Present at the event were former joint organizing secretary of Puthia Upazila Jubo Dal Delwar Sarkar Al Amin, joint convener of Puthia Upazila Jubo Dal Mahmudur Rahman Sohel, joint convener of Union Krishak Dal Wasim Mollah and Sumon Parvez, among others.
