A public rally was held at the initiative of Pirojpur District Nationalist Party BNP to protest the rising prices of essential commodities and demand early parliamentary elections.
On Wednesday, February 19 at 3 pm, at a huge public meeting organized by the district BNP at the Pirojpur district Shaheed Minar premises, under the chairmanship of district BNP convener and central executive member Principal Alamgir Hossain and moderated by district BNP member secretary Gazi Wahiduzzaman Lavlu, BNP chairperson's advisor Advocate Mujibur Rahman Sarwar spoke as the chief guest.
The main speaker at the event was Barisal Divisional BNP Co-Organizing Secretary A.K.N. Quddus Rahman, Barisal Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary Mahabubul Haque Nannu, Co-Family Welfare Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Kabir, Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Central Executive Committee Co-Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Kazi Rawnakul Islam Tipu, Central Committee Member Elijah Zaman, Pirojpur District BNP Joint Convener Riazuddin Rana. The speakers said that the common people in the country are currently struggling due to the rise in prices of daily necessities. The backs of the common hard-working people are against the wall.
