Nationalist Youth Party Dhaka Metropolitan North convener Sharif Uddin Jewel said that even after six months, the interim government has not been able to show any progress in the trial of the dictator Hasina and her cronies. Not completing the trial of the murderer Hasina quickly is a betrayal of the blood of the students and people martyred in the mass uprising.
He made these remarks while addressing a protest march in the capital on Saturday. The rally was organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan North Youth Party to protest against the fugitive dictator, the Awami League's attempts to create anarchy, and to demand the speedy arrest of the criminals.
Jewel said to the interim government, bring Hasina back from India quickly and put her on trial. If necessary, seek help from Interpol. Whenever her telephone conversations come to the public, she gets a little excited. But in reality, Hasina's cronies are still sitting in different places in the administration. They are not paying any attention to that.
He said, "This government is delaying reforms. They are not giving any clear idea about the elections. The people want to vote, they want to choose their representatives; the people want their elected representatives to play a role in reforming the country."
The event was moderated by Abul Hasan Titu, joint convener of Dhaka Metropolitan North Jubo Dal, and was attended by Julhas Ahmed, Shamim Ahmed, Monirul Islam Pintu and others.
