Barrister Mir Ahmed bin Kasem Arman, the founding central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, visited the grave of martyr Mir Kasem in Harirampur, Manikganj.
Barrister Arman visited his father's grave next to the mosque founded by Shaheed Mir Kashem Ali in Manikganj at around 12 noon on Friday (February 28). At the time, Arman said, "Fascists and anti-humans must be tried in Bangladesh. So that the whole world can see fair trial."
Perhaps death is better than the torture in the mirror. It is unthinkable that a human being could torture another human being like this. Every time I have asked why I have been detained, what is my crime? Every time I have been told that we are acting on orders from above.
I have been disappeared by the fallen fascist Hasina government.
After offering Friday prayers at the mosque of the Ahmadiyya Sultania Shamsul Uloom Hafezia Madrasa and Orphanage, he said, "I was a lawyer assigned to my father's case. When the hearing of that case was in the final stages. Just two-three days before the execution, I was kidnapped from my home and kept in a dark room, blindfolded and handcuffed, for eight years. For those eight years, I did not know what happened to my father. My family did not know whether I was alive or dead. I was released after the students' revolution. Then I came to know that my father had been hanged on a false charge."
I fell ill after leaving the mirror house. I had cataracts in both my eyes. I went abroad for treatment. After returning home, I came to Manikganj to visit my father's grave. Manikganj district is my father's heart. And this is where my father lies. He had many plans for Manikganj. He dreamed of making Manikganj a modern city. He dreamed of making Manikganj a satellite city and setting up an office in the capital from Manikganj.
Later, he visited the Islamic seminary established by his father in Harirampur and inaugurated the seminary office.
