Call on political party leaders to speak in the language of politics, not fascism - Ameer-e-Jamaat Bangladesh Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, we are happy that many of the political leaders who were victims of the oppression of Awami fascism have been released. But why has the former acting secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami, the oppressed public leader ATM Azharul Islam, not been released and is not being released? Ameer-e-Jamaat said, I want the interim government to set an example of non-discrimination. But the government's actions of releasing someone and not releasing someone have disappointed the nation. It must be clearly stated that ATM Azharul Islam must be released immediately. Jamaat-e-Islami's registration and symbol must be returned. Otherwise, Jamaat-e-Islami will keep the democratic movement on the streets and the government will be forced to realize its demands through the movement. It must be remembered that fascism has fallen, the oppression of fascism cannot be maintained. All oppression must be ended.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a protest rally organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan at the historic Paltan intersection on Tuesday (February 18) afternoon demanding the release of ATM Azharul Islam.
At this time, the Ameer-e-Jamaat also said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the victim of political revenge by the Awami League. The Awami League has judicially murdered the top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami. While ATM Azharul Islam is serving as the acting secretary general of the party, the Awami League has arrested him and imprisoned him for the past 13 years by filing false cases.
Calling on the leaders of political parties to speak in the language of politics and not fascism, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Jamaat-e-Islami does not fear anyone except Allah. It does not bow down to anyone. Jamaat-e-Islami has thrown out many compromise proposals. We know who has bowed down and where, and we also have information. Jamaat-e-Islami is not afraid of anyone's eye candy. Rather, it knows how to destroy all evil forces and fascism. He wanted to know from the leaders and activists present, how the fight to remove discrimination from Bangladesh has been fought for the past 15 and a half years to free the nation from fascism, can that fight be continued until discrimination is free? At this time, lakhs of leaders and activists present were seen shouting slogans to continue the fight. The country is not yet free from discrimination. Therefore, our movement and struggle will not stop until the country is free from discrimination. Because, our victory has just begun but has not ended. He shouted slogans in a loud voice, 'Abu Saeed is impressed; the war is not over'. He expressed his conviction to the people and said, "Our war and struggle is ongoing and will continue, God willing."
Speaking as a special guest at the protest rally held under the chairmanship of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Ameer Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul, Central Executive Council member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin said, ATM Azharul Islam has been sentenced to death through a farce and kangaroo court in the name of trial. But even after the fall of the dictatorship, we had to take to the streets demanding his release. He strongly demanded the government to immediately release ATM Azharul Islam, return his party registration and symbol. Otherwise, he warned that the movement in the future will be given an all-out form.
Mr. Nurul Islam Saddam, Secretary General of Islami Chhatra Shibir, said, "If the government does not understand the language of the eyes and the language of the mouth, then the language that the government understands will be used." After the revolution, the revolutionary leader cannot remain in prison. The students and the people have given their lives and blood to form a humane state from this country, eradicating the history of oppression. Those who are hindered in forming that humane state will also face the same fate as the fascist Awami League. All the cases filed by the fascist Awami League in the name of all the political leaders and students who have been victims of oppression, including ATM Azharul Islam, must be canceled. Otherwise, we will also be forced to be strict.
In the president's speech, Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul said, after the historic revolution on August 5, the chief advisor was released from his case. The legal advisor was released from his case. However, the revolutionary leader who was imprisoned for the past 13 years as a victim of Awami League oppression has not been released. We have given the interim government time for the past 6 months. But the government has created new discrimination instead of eliminating discrimination. Some will be released, some will not be released, this will not be allowed to happen in the new Bangladesh. Equal opportunities must be created for all. He demanded the release of ATM Azharul Islam as well as the return of Jamaat-e-Islami's registration and symbol. Otherwise, Nurul Islam Bulbul warned of strict programs.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud and Central Working Committee Member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim jointly led the protest rally, which was attended by Central Executive Council Member Mobarak Hossain, Central Working Committee Member Advocate Jasim Uddin Sarkar, Dhaka Metropolitan North Nayebe Ameer Engineer Golam Mostafa, South Nayebe Ameer Abdus Sabur Fakir and Advocate Helal Uddin, Central General Secretary of the Workers' Welfare Federation Advocate Atiqur Rahman, Dhaka Metropolitan North Assistant Secretaries Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazimuddin Mollah and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik and Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Secretaries Delwar Hossain, Kamal Hossain Dr. Abdul Mannan, etc. After the protest rally, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Led by Shafiqur Ramhan, several hundred thousand leaders and activists started their protest march from Paltan intersection to Shahbagh and ended it.
