Paikgachha representative
The great Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day were celebrated in Paikgachha through various programs. As part of the day-long programs, wreaths were placed at the central Shaheed Minar of the Upazila Parishad in the first hour of Ekushey by various organizations including the Upazila Administration, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Thana Police, Municipality, BNP and its affiliated organizations, Lona Pani Kendra, Paikgachha Government College, Fasiar Rahman Women's College, Upazila Health Complex, Lawyers' Association, Paikgachha Press Club, Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Forum, Model Government Primary School, Shaheed Gafur Government Primary School, Rosebud Kindergarten, The Rising Sun Pre-Cadet, Barnamala School, Sholaana Businessmen Cooperative Association, Banani Sangha, and various social, political and cultural organizations.
Then, on Friday morning, a discussion meeting, prayer ceremony and award distribution ceremony for the painting and essay competition were organized in the Upazila Parishad auditorium at 10 am. Assistant Commissioner Land Md. Iftekharul Islam Shamim, Principal of Government College Professor Samaresh Roy, Chief Scientific Officer of Lonapani Center Dr. Md. Latiful Islam, OC Md. Sabzel Hossain, Freedom Fighter Ranjit Sarkar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Ekramul Hossain, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Saikat Mallick, DGM of Palli Bidyut Samity Siddiqur Rahman Talukder, former President of Upazila BNP Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, President of the Bar Association Advocate GM Abdus Sattar, former BNP leader Aslam Parvez, Tushar Kanti Mondal, SM Enamul Haque, Selim Reza Lucky, Mostafa Morol, Jamaat-e-Islami District Working Committee Member Maulana Aminul Islam, Vice Principal Mihir Baran Mondal, Utpal Bain, Head Teacher Shahidul Islam, Abdul Wahab, Militiasmin, President of the Press Club Advocate FMA Razzak, Vice President Md. Abdul Aziz and General Secretary M Moslem Uddin along with officials of various government departments, heads of institutions, social, political and cultural figures. The program was hosted by GM Zakaria of the Small Farmers Foundation. The prayer program was conducted by Maulana Ashraful Islam.
