Muhammad Abul Bashar:
A discussion and prayer meeting was held at Rajibpur Aftab Uddin High School in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh district, on International Mother Language Day on February 21. The function was presided over by the school's headmaster, Alhaj Md. Umar Faruk Akand.
Assistant Headmaster Md. Helal Uddin was in full support. Senior Teacher (Physical Education) Md. Zahirul Alam Ferdous was in charge. Also present were the children of the martyred family and senior teachers Md. Helal Uddin Bhuiyan, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Md. Matiur Rahman, Md. Badrul Alam, Md. Helal Uddin, Syeda Selina Yasmin, Musammat Helena Khatun, along with students and staff. Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Abul Bashar led the prayers, seeking forgiveness for the souls of those who were martyred for the mother tongue.
