A traditional folk song and drama exhibition was held in Baufal, Patuakhali with the aim of maintaining peace and harmony, preventing violence and building a sensitive society. This delightful cultural program was organized today at the local public field under the initiative of Astha Youth Forum. Non-governmental development organization Parantar has assisted in implementing the program.
The event was attended by the acting principal of Engineer Faruk Talukder Women's Degree College, Ahiduzzaman Supon, as the chief guest. Muntasir Tasrip, former convener of Baufal Youth Forum and organizer of the anti-discrimination student movement, presided over the event. Ayeshatunnesa Barsha, convener of Astha Youth Forum, moderated the event.

Such cultural events are part of that effort." Golam Mustafa, Project Officer of the Transformation, said, "It is possible to prevent violence and increase social awareness through cultural activities. We are proud to be part of this initiative."
Chief guest Ahiduzzaman Supon said, the role of cultural activities in establishing peace and harmony is immense. It is possible to bring positive changes in society through patgan and drama. The program was especially lively with the spontaneous participation of the local people and a festive atmosphere. The transformation workers said that such events will continue in the future to increase respect for language and social awareness.
