A protest march was held in Nilphamari demanding the trial and ban of the Awami League. On Wednesday (February 12) night, a protest march started from the central Shaheed Minar square in the city and circled the main road. The protest march was organized by the Nilphamari District Committee of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The protest march was attended by people from different walks of life, including Syed Mehedi Hasan Ashiq, district convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, member secretary Alif Siddique Prantar, joint convener Borhan Ahmed, joint member secretaries Rezaul Islam, Said Islam and others.
At that time, the main road was filled with various slogans demanding a ban on Awami League politics. Earlier, the funeral procession of martyr Bir Kashem, who was killed in Gazipur, was held in the Shaheed Minar premises.
