One person has been arrested from Fulchhari, Gaibandha in the ongoing 'Operation Devil Hunt'. The police have arrested Alamgir Kabir (31), the general secretary of the Swechchhasebak League of Udakhali Union in Fulchhari Upazila. He was arrested at 7 pm today, Monday (February 10). Alamgir Kabir was the general secretary of the Udakhali Union Swechchhasebak League and is the son of the late Mahabub Rahman of Anandabazar Uttar Burail village.
Khandaker Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Fulchhari Police Station, confirmed the arrest and said that the joint forces' operation is ongoing. An update will be provided later if anyone else is arrested or detained.
It is worth noting that the Devil Hunt operation is being jointly conducted by the army, BGB, RAB, police and the police's intelligence wing DB. According to the information from the intelligence agencies, the terrorists will be arrested in the operation using various technologies. The Home Ministry said that the operation is being conducted to prevent the terrorists of the fallen Awami League from destroying the law and order situation in the country.
