Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallick said that the DB Police is going to start a special operation during Ramadan.
He said that 'all-out action' will be taken against terrorists in different areas. Just as we want to be trusted by the common people, we want to be terrorized by criminals. We are working with this principle.
He said this at a press conference on 'Activities planned by DB to maintain law and order situation during the holy month of Ramadan' organized at the DMP Media Center on Minto Road in the capital on Saturday (March 1).
Rezaul Karim Mallick said, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) is playing a relentless role in maintaining law and order. On the occasion of the upcoming holy Ramadan, DB is going to start special operations along with regular activities.
This will be a special intelligence operation. In the operation, members of the intelligence police will disguise themselves and arrest criminals from among the people. People's activities increase during Ramadan. In particular, money transactions increase. The crowd of customers increases in all financial institutions, including banks and insurance companies.
The crowd of people increases at railway stations, bus terminals and launch terminals. Our intelligence surveillance has been increased to ensure that no one can cause sabotage at these places. In addition, intelligence surveillance has been increased to ensure that no accidents occur on long journeys.
Citing intelligence information, he also said that most of those who are committing theft, robbery and robbery are between the ages of 15 and 20. Many of them are members of juvenile gangs.
