A major reshuffle has been made in the Bangladesh Police. 53 officers have been transferred at once.
Among them, there are 19 additional DIGs, 33 Superintendents of Police and one additional Superintendent of Police rank.
The transfer was made in two separate notifications issued by the Public Security Division Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (February 27). The two notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman.
According to a notification, Additional DIG of Mymensingh Range Md. Abul Kalam Azad has been transferred to APBN-1 Dhaka, Additional DIG Sardar Roknuzzaman, who was ordered to be transferred as 8 APBN, has been transferred to CID, DMP's Kho. Faridul Islam has been transferred to RAB, and DMP's Muhammad Mahabubur Rahman has been transferred to RAB, along with 21 officers.
According to another notification, Additional DIG of Police Headquarters Raihan Uddin Khan was transferred to CID, Superintendent of Police Ahmedul Kabir, who was ordered to be transferred to BMP, was transferred to AIG of Police Headquarters, Abdullah Al Zahir was transferred to AIG of Police Headquarters, and Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP Mohammad Nazrul Islam was transferred to CID along with 32 officers.
