Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) International Affairs Secretary and Begum Khaleda Zia's advisor Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukder was felicitated with floral tributes in Syedpur. The award was presented by Sheikh Saad Complex and Royal Efa Group in Syedpur.
Sheikh Alim Mintu, managing director of Sheikh Saad Group, international business personality and a creative son of Saidpur, and Abdul Khalek, BNP's Rangpur divisional organizing secretary, were present at the Syedpur Airport on Tuesday (February 25) at 12 noon. Masud Talukder was accompanied by Dhaka High Court lawyer Advocate Harun Or Rashid and Advocate Abul Kalam Khan.
At the airport, Advocate Masud Talukder told reporters that it is not possible to stabilize the overall situation in the country without a political government. Therefore, national elections must be held as soon as possible. The interim government has come to its senses, albeit with a delay. That is why the Election Commissioner yesterday announced preparations to hold elections by October.
He said, "Local government is basically an associate of the national government. Therefore, local government elections should be held under the elected national government. Those who are demanding local elections before the national elections are talking without understanding the issue. If we want to take the country on the right path, we must move away from such rash decisions."
And BNP is the largest political party in the country. If there is a fair and impartial election, the people will definitely trust BNP and cooperate in forming the government. And if we are united, we can face any problem and build a prosperous Bangladesh.
Later, the guests visited Sheikh Saad Complex adjacent to BSCIC Industrial Park in Saidpur town. There, the guests were given a red carpet honor and entertainment. After that, the BNP leaders left for Dinajpur by road.
