Barbed wire fences and iron poles have been installed at the Dahagram border in Patgram, Lalmonirhat, again in violation of border laws, with the help of members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
This time, the fence was erected in violation of the border law late at night. When the BGB reached the spot and stopped the construction work, the BSF stopped it.
Border residents said that late on Friday (February 28) night, the BSF, with the help of Indian nationals, started installing barbed wire fences and iron poles across an area of about 500 yards within three to five yards of the zero line in the Kolonipara border area of Dahagram.
After receiving the information, BGB jawans went to the spot and took up position. Although the work was stopped, the BSF increased its strength along the border.
BGB sources said that a letter was sent to the BSF calling for a flag meeting regarding the incident, and upon their response, a flag meeting was held between the BGB and BSF at the border on Saturday (March 1) afternoon.

During this time, a large number of BSF members also stopped construction work and took positions next to the barbed wire fence, causing extreme tension.
The BGB protested the incident and held a flag meeting with the camp commander of Arun Camp at the Kolonipara zero line on the border at 4:30 pm on Saturday (March 1) to protest the incident.
On behalf of the BGB, Panbari Company Commander Subedar Ayub Ali led a 7-member delegation. On the other hand, a 7-member delegation led by Indian BSF Botbari Company Commander Jalam Singh participated in the meeting.
