Limon Mia, Sarishabari (Jamalpur) Representative
An angry mob attacked, vandalized and set fire to the house of former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Murad Hasan in Sarishabari, Jamalpur. The incident took place at around 10 pm on Thursday (February 6) in Daulatpur village of Aona union of the upazila.
According to local sources, a group of agitated people attacked the house of Dr. Murad Hasan, causing extensive vandalism and damaging his personal car. At the same time, the houses of Upazila Awami League President Chanowar Hossain Badsha and former Upazila Parishad Chairman Rafiqul Islam were also attacked.
Sarishabari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Chand Mia said that no complaint has been received in the incident so far. Tension has prevailed in the area since the incident.
