A cycling competition was held in Satkhira under the theme "Let's change the country, let's change the world." Md. Jewel Hasan emerged as the champion.
Deputy Commissioner and District Sports Association President Mostaq Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the award ceremony of the cycling competition at Satkhira District Stadium on Sunday (February 9) at 10:30 am.
Earlier in the morning, a colorful ceremony was held to inaugurate the cycling competition by blowing up a balloon festoon. Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the overall support of the district administration, district sports organizations and district sports offices, the cycling competition was inaugurated at the Satkhira District Stadium with the aim of celebrating youth and building a new Bangladesh. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner and District Sports Organization President Mostaq Ahmed inaugurated the event. Additional Deputy Commissioner Bishnu Padpal, District Sports Organization Ad Hoc Committee Member Secretary and District Sports Officer Mahbubur Rahman, members Tayyab Hasan Shamsuzzaman Babu, Mufashchinul Haque Topu, Zillur Rahman, former joint secretary Mir Tajul Islam Ripon, AM Aktaruzzaman Mukul and others were present on the occasion.
The cycling competition started from the district stadium and ended at the city's Narkel Tola, Khulna Road, New Market, Pakapool, Post Office. About 250 competitors participated in the cycling competition.
Bangladesh Cycling member Md. Jewel Hasan became the champion in the competition. In addition, the first runner-up was Towhid, third Akash, fourth Shakib, fifth Abid, sixth Asfi, seventh Anan, Aranya, Shariful, Mehedi. At the school level, Taskin and Afzal. And among the girls, Sanjida won.
