The YAG Cascade Training, which was held in the first phase on 14, 15 and 16 November and the second phase on 13, 14 and 15 February at Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (PUST) under the auspices of UNICEF, was successfully completed under the leadership of Md. Monowar Hossain Munna, a 7th semester student of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Science and Technology.
The Youth Champion Training Program was held by UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) in Kathmandu, Nepal from 2-6 September. The main theme of the program was “Youth Advocacy Champion Training: Strengthening and Supporting Youth-Led Advocacy in South Asia.” In this context, session moderator Monowar Hossain Munnar tried to spread the knowledge gained from Kathmandu, Nepal, among the students.
University student Md. Monowar Hossain Munna conducted the entire session. 50 students participated in the program in two phases. The main objective of the program was to develop leadership among the students and build their ability to solve various social problems.
Basically, the participating students are given tasks, workshops and various types of group work through which they find ways to overcome social barriers and identify problems from their own experiences. Among the participants, Suchi Das said, “Such workshops are helpful in practicing open-mindedness and socialization. Many thanks to the organizers and I hope that many more constructive workshops will be held at Pavipravi in the future.”
Finally, certificates were awarded to the participants. The program was supervised by university students Nafis Uddin, Anirban Saha and Arnab Samaddar.
