Dumki (Patuakhali) Correspondent: A staff conference was held at Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (PUST) after 17 years on the occasion of distributing membership forms by the central team-12 of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal.
The staff conference was held on Sunday (February 16) at the university's TSC conference room from 5 pm.
Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Vice-President Jahirul Islam Dipu Patwary was present as the chief guest, with Tarek Hasan Mamun, Joint Secretary of the Central Parliament, presiding.
Asaduzzaman Rinku, Joint General Secretary of the Central Parliament, was present as the special guest.
More than 300 new members, including former and current leaders of the Pabiprabi Chhatra Dal, were present at the event.
In her speech as the chief guest, Dipu Patwary said that under the instructions of Chhatra Dal's organizational guardian, national hero Tarique Rahman, leaders are being elected through direct voting by students in various units. This proves that Chhatra Dal does not believe in the politics of patronage like other student organizations.
