Suhrawardy College Correspondent: Suhrawardy College Dividing Club has got a full committee after almost 6 years. Suhrawardy College Principal Dr. Kakoli Mukherjee approved the committee at 10 am on Sunday.
Awlad Jisan, a student of the Political Science Department of this college for the 2020-21 academic year, and Sabrina Sultana, a student of the Economics Department for the same academic year, have been appointed as the presidents.
In addition, other positions have been filled by senior vice-president Fahimul Islam, vice-president Ashika Jannat, joint general secretary Alamgir Adnan Ifti, joint general secretary Md. Hridoy Hossain, organizing secretary Md. Shahriar Azim, office secretary Aliful Islam Alif, finance secretary Pratyasha Antara, publicity secretary Abir, and executive member Hemayet Hossain Hridoy.
After announcing the committee, President Awlad Jisan said, "I express my sincere gratitude to the Principal, Vice Principal, Chief Moderator, Moderator and all members for electing me as the newly elected President of the Executive Committee of the Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College Debating Club, keeping in mind the theme of liberation of truth in the fight of reason."
As you know, along with academic studies, co-curricular activities play an important role in a student's life. Similarly, by debating, students can develop their talents through free practice, acquire leadership qualities, and develop themselves as ideal human beings.
In this regard, General Secretary Sabrina Sultana said, "We want to make the debate club active in the first place. Moreover, through this club, we want to create a platform where students on campus can express their views through logic and analysis on social, economic, international diplomatic, etc. issues."
Moreover, there is a desire to debate at the national level.
In this regard, Organizing Secretary Azim says, our first challenge will be to prepare the members of Suhrawardy College Dividing Club to divide at the national level, for which we will do whatever we can. Our principal ma'am has said that she will cooperate with us in this regard. I don't want to remember how the club has been running so far, from today the club's activities will be conducted according to a specific rule. We want to highlight our college in the national and international arena through the Suhrawardy College Dividing Club.
