The Inter-Faculty Cricket Tournament 2025 has been inaugurated at Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (PUST).
On February 15 (Saturday) at 8:30 am, the Vice Chancellor of PUBRI, eminent educationist and researcher Professor Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam, inaugurated the Inter-Faculty Cricket Tournament 2025 as the chief guest. Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. S.M. Hemayet Jahan was present as the special guest.
Special guest Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan said in his speech that such sports events increase camaraderie and harmony among students and help in physical and mental development.
Speaking as the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Kazi Rafiqul Islam said, "Sports are not just a means of entertainment; they increase the discipline, perseverance and self-confidence of the youth. Organizing such competitive leagues, especially at the university level, is a wonderful initiative to explore new talents."
At that time, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Land Administration Professor Mohammad Jamal Hossain, Convener of the Tournament Steering Committee Professor Dr. Md. Abu Yusuf, along with teachers, students, officials and employees of various faculties were present.
A total of 8 faculties of the university will participate in this tournament organized by the Physical Education Department.
