Ambassador (retd) Supradeep Chakma, Advisor on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, said that the main basis for the development of the hilly region is quality education in the education sector, livelihood development in the agricultural sector and development of communication management. Above all, he said that everyone should build a basic foundation to ensure the empowerment of all departments in the development work of the state.

The Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs inaugurated the foundation stone laying work of the District Council Residential College (RCDC) construction project undertaken in the Rangapani Hatchery area of Rangamati Municipality on Sunday, February 9.
Advisor Ambassador (retd) Supradeep Chakma said these things.
Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Advisor Supradeep Chakma further said that the Rangamati Hill District Council Residential College will play an important role in improving the quality of education in the hilly areas. He said that the college aims to teach English curriculum along with other subjects including Bengali to further strengthen the foundation of English education.
The advisor said, "We hope that the students of this college will be able to do well in English through English practice."
An initial grant of Rs 3 crore has been provided by the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs for the construction project of the Rangamati Hill District Council Residential College.
Supradeep Chakma, Advisor to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, also said, the quality of education in the hilly areas must be improved. Therefore, improving the quality of education in the hilly areas is very important. Teachers do not want to stay here. The advisor expressed hope that this college will work to meet all the needs to improve the quality of education.
The advisor said, "Communication is one of the main means of transport in this country. I have already written to the concerned ministry to upgrade the Ramgarh-Khagrachari, Manikchari in Khagrachari and Manikchari-Betbunia in Rangamati roads to four lanes. We are working on this."
