Paikgachha representative
The inaugural ceremony of the Climate Smart Agriculture Technology Fair was held in Paikgachha on Monday afternoon at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. The event was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Mahera Nazneen and the chief guest was Agriculture Expert Kazi Jahangir Hossain, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Khulna.
The project was presented by the project director of Khulna Agriculture Climate Change Adaptation Project through Climate Smart Technology, agriculturist Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni. The welcome speech was delivered by the Upazila Agriculture Officer, agriculturist Ekramul Hossain. The event, moderated by the Agricultural Extension Officer SM Monirul Huda, was attended by the special guests, including Additional Deputy Director, agriculturist Abdus Sobhan, URC Instructor Iman Uddin, Upazila Education Officer Bidyut Ranjan Saha, Social Service Officer Anath Kumar Biswas, Food Controller Hasibur Rahman, Upazila BNP Acting General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mondal, Municipal Member Secretary Mostafa Morol, Upazila Organizing Secretary Abul Hossain.
Press Club Vice President Md. Abdul Aziz, General Secretary M Moslem Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Assistant Plant Protection Officer Biswajit Das, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Sheikh Tofail Ahmed Tuhin, Abul Kalam Azad, Enamul Haque, farmers Shyampad Mandal, Anukul Banerjee and Madhavi Lata spoke. Later, a colorful rally circled the main roads of the Upazila Sadar. The Department of Agricultural Extension organized this fair on the premises of the Agriculture Office. Smart agricultural technology was displayed through 10 stalls at the fair. In addition, 30 coconut climbers were provided to 30 people at the fair.
