Mr. Mizanur Rahman Badal, Manikganj:
I am speaking to you in the language in which I heard my mother call me.
To keep the memory of Shaheed Rafiq alive, schools, colleges and universities will be established in his name. He said, "I am speaking to you in the language in which I heard my mother calling me, that Bengali language is my pride and arrogance. We must remember those who were martyred for achieving this language." He also said, "Love of country is our main goal. A few days ago, we could not speak. Our mouths were locked. Like Shaheed Rafiq, Abu Sayeed became a martyr and opened our locks. We are carrying out this language movement. We have to think deeply. Roads and bridges have been built in the name of Shaheed Rafiq. In the future, plans to build schools, colleges and universities should be adequately planned. Something should be done so that people remember Rafiq throughout their lives so that the next generation does not forget his name. Establish a democratic government through voting.
He also said that we will always be by your side if the nationalist party government is established. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the inauguration of the 5-day "Ekushey Discussion and Cultural Program" on the occasion of International Mother Language Day and Martyr's Day in Rafiqnagar, Singair, Manikganj, as every year, under the initiative of the Language Martyr Rafiq Smriti Parishad, BNP Chairperson's Advisor and Manikganj District BNP Convener Afroza Khanam Rita said.
