Four drug dealers have been arrested along with a huge quantity of drugs in a joint operation in Boalmari, Faridpur. There have been allegations of an increase in the spread of drugs in the local area at the Boalmari army camp for a long time. In this context, the operation was carried out based on intelligence information and they were arrested.
On Monday (March 3, 2025) at around 3 am, the joint patrol team received information from a secret source that drug dealing was going on before Sehri at the house of Mahfuzur Rahman in Dakshin Khamargram. The joint force immediately reached the spot and surrounded the house of the accused and conducted a search operation. During the operation, they were arrested from the spot.
The arrested drug dealers are Kabir Sheikh (42), Ripon Sheikh (40), Mahfuzur Rahman (40) and Tushar Matbar (24) of South Kamargram. 150 pieces of Yaba and 2 kg of marijuana were recovered from them.
In this regard, Boalmari Police Station SI Dewan Shamim Khan has filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act as the plaintiff. Case number 3.
Boalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Hasan said that Boalmari Police Station arrested 4 drug dealers along with narcotics with the help of the army. A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act. They will be produced before the court on Monday afternoon. Such operations against drugs will continue.
