Bhurungamari (Kurigram) Representative:
The Senior District Judge's Court of Kurigram has lifted the temporary ban imposed by the court on the election of guardian members of Bhurungamari Women's College. As a result, there is no longer any obstacle to organizing the election of the college's governing body.
It is learned that on January 2, the acting principal announced the schedule for the election of three guardian members to reconstitute the college's governing body. However, on January 14, when a guardian, Amjad Hossain, went to buy nomination papers, the principal allegedly made excuses. In this incident, he filed a petition in the Kurigram Assistant Judge's Court on January 24. After the hearing, the court imposed a temporary ban on the election process on February 4.
Later, on February 5, the acting principal of the college, Ramjanul Haque, filed a missive appeal against this order in the Kurigram Senior District Judge's Court. After the hearing, the Senior District Judge's Court revoked the temporary ban.
Regarding this, Principal Ramjanul Haque said, "The court has lifted the previous ban. There is no further obstacle to the election ceremony."
