250 bottles of Phensidyl recovered in a raid by the Benapole Port Police Station in Jessore. On Thursday, 20/02/2025, a team consisting of Benapole Port Police SI (Retd)/ Mohammad Mamun Sheikh and the accompanying force came to know on the basis of secret information that Md. Mamun Hossain (24), son of Md. Faruk Hossain of Gazipur village under this police station, was involved in drug trade and drugs were being bought and sold at his residence. Based on such information, SI (Retd)/ Mohammad Mamun Sheikh informed the matter to the higher officer and along with the accompanying officer force conducted a raid at the place at 01.45 hours on 20/02/2025 AD and recovered and seized 250 (two hundred and fifty) bottles of Phensidyl specially kept in the truck tire on the north side of the kitchen of the residence of the absconding accused Md. Mamun Hossain (24). At that time, the fugitive accused Mamun and 2/3 other unidentified accused fled the scene after learning of the police presence.
In this regard, case No. 12, dated 20/02/2025, under Section 36(1) Table 14(c)/41 of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018 has been registered at Benapole Port Police Station and the operation to arrest the accused is ongoing.
