Sadarpur (Faridpur) Representative:
Police have arrested three people, including leaders of the Awami League and Chhatra League, in a drive under Operation Devil Hunt in Sadarpur, Faridpur. Sadarpur police arrested them from the Piazkhali Bazar area of Dhekhali Union of the upazila around 12:30 pm on Wednesday (February 12).
The detainees are Tutul Khan, general secretary of Dhekhali Union Chhatra League in Sadarpur Upazila, Abul Khan, member of Dhekhali Union Awami League, and Moin Khan, general secretary of Dhekhali Ward No. 1 Awami League.
Police said they were arrested on charges of being directly involved in Awami League politics and creating sabotage.
Sadarpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Motaleb said, "To prevent the creation of an unstable environment, a drive was conducted in Piajkhali Bazar of Dhekhali Union of the upazila and those creating anarchy were arrested. The drive will continue until the saboteurs and those creating anarchy are eliminated under the special instructions of the district police."
