Bauphal police have arrested eight people, including a woman, in a devil hunt operation in Bauphal, Patuakhali. They were arrested from different places in the upazila last night.
Among them, Jasim Molla, a member of the Kalaiya Union Parishad of the upazila, and a businessman from Madanpura UP were arrested in the devil hunt. In addition, two people, including a woman with a warrant, a convicted person, one person from Daspara UP in a fight case, one in a drug case and one person under Section 34 were arrested from Baufal Municipality. Baufal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kamal Hossain said that the arrested people have been sent to Patuakhali Court.
