Mohila League leader Bobby has become the second victim of the operation called Operation Devil Hunt in Nilphamari's Saidpur. On Wednesday (February 12), the police arrested her from her house in Babupara in the city. The general secretary of Ward No. 12 of the Saidpur Municipal Women's League, this leader has been arrested as an accused in the attempted murder case after the mass uprising. Bobby is the personal assistant of former municipal mayor and municipal women's league president Rafika Akhter Jahan Baby and the wife of Bablu of the city's new Babupara area.
It is learned that Nur Islam, son of Tamaddi Pramanik of Uttar Sonakhuli village of Botlagari union of Saidpur upazila, was injured in a gunfight with an Awami League procession when he arrived in Saidpur town on August 4. In view of this, a case of attempted murder was filed on September 6 against 63 people. Case No. 4. The main accused is Mohsinul Haque Mohsin, general secretary of Saidpur upazila Awami League. It was under his leadership that anti-discrimination protesters were shot at on the day of the incident.
On February 11 (Tuesday), the second accused in the case, former general secretary of Botlagari Union Awami League and chairman of the union council of the upazila, Moniruzzaman Jun, was arrested by the Syedpur Police Station. The team led by Syedpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Faim Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Akhtar Hossain and the investigation officers of the case, Syedpur Police Station SI Mehedi Hasan Khan Maruf and SI Akmal Hossain, conducted a raid based on secret information and arrested him. Similarly, Mohila League leader Bobby was also arrested.
Confirming the arrest, Faim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Syedpur Police Station, said, "Mohila League leader Bobby, an accused in an attempt to murder case under Operation Devil Hunt, has been arrested. After completing the legal process, she was sent to Nilphamari District Jail on Wednesday afternoon."
