Former general secretary of Angaria Union A'League A: Aziz Hawlader (65) and a woman named Farzana Akhtar (30) have been arrested in a special operation of Operation Devil Hunt in Dumki, Patuakhali.
According to police sources, police were able to arrest Farzana Akhter (30), a warrant-listed accused in the CR 124/24 case of A'League leader A. Aziz Hawlader (65), from her house in Rupashia village of Angaria union of the upazila late on Monday night. The arrested Aziz Hawlader was produced in court in the BNP office vandalism case and Farzana in the warrant case on Tuesday afternoon.
Confirming the incident, Dumki Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Zakir Hossain said that the operation is ongoing.
